About FEINMETALL

Temperature Sensors

Especially contacting with high currents often requires direct temperature monitoring of the contact area. Spring-loaded temperature sensors offer a reliable and space-saving solution, they can even be integrated into contact probes.

Interface Pins

For detachable interfaces, rigid mating contacts, also called interface pins, with different sizes and connection types are required in addition to the spring-loaded contact probes.

Interface Blocks

Interface blocks (pylon blocks) are mainly used as internal interfaces. The use of spring contact probes ensures good signal transmission with low contact resistances.

For the life cycle test up to 10 sample probes are mounted in a stress stage and then pressed with a stroke frequency of 5 to 6 strokes per second. In predetermined steps (e.g. after 2000 strokes) the probes are analyzed in a separate test station and the spring force and the contact resistance of each probe are measured as a function of the spring travel (see picture right on the top). Later the test results are combined in a diagram, showing the whole life cycle of the probe (up to more than a million strokes). The diagrams show typical life cycle test results of spring force and resistance.
